Advocacy 101 Panel - Prepare for legislator meetings with NYSNA (Great for advocacy newbies, as well as anyone in need of a refresher. Open to all registered attendees!)
Virtual LAC General Session - Hear from Public Policy & Legislation committee members, invited legislators, and inspirational speakers in our community, hear about NYSNA's legislative agenda, and get the latest on the Albany political landscape.

 

In-Person Lobby Day (Albany)

  • Date: February 4, 2025
  • Location: Albany, NY
  • Highlights: Engage in face-to-face meetings with legislators and participate in a press conference to amplify our message.

These events will focus on two critical priorities:

  1. Healthy School Meals for All NY Kids – Advocating for a permanent program starting in 2025-2026 to provide free meals for all students, eliminate unpaid meal debt, and support academic success.
  2. Expanding the NY 30% Incentive Program – Pushing for increased reimbursement and inclusion of all school meals to boost local food sourcing and strengthen farm-to-school initiatives.

  • Date: February 4, 2025
  • Location: Albany, NY
  • Highlights: Join us for a press conference at the Capitol building, hosted by NYSNA, where legislators and advocates will highlight our legislative priorities. This is our chance to collaborate with the media and amplify our message—mark your calendars for the morning of February 4th! More details will be shared as the event approaches, so stay tuned.
